Vanessa Kirby, 36, plays the lead role in the Netflix series “Night Always Comes“, which was filmed in Portland, Oregon, United States. Written by Sarah Conradt and directed by Benjamin Caron, the series is an adaptation of the 2021 novel “The Night Always Comes” by Willy Vlautin.
Vlautin executive produced the series with Amy Greene, Christopher Hines and Chris Stinson. Kirby is also one of the producers.
Among Kirby’s co-stars in the series are Jennifer Jason Leigh, 63, and Randall Park, 51. Both Leigh and Park were born in Los Angeles, California, USA while Kirby was born in Wimbledon, London, England, United Kingdom.
“Night Always Comes”
Netflix will release “Night Always Comes” on August 15, 2025. The series is about Kirby’s character Lynette, a woman who driven by a desperate need for security.
Lynette risks everything to secure the house that represents a future for her family. Over the course of one propulsive night, she confronts her own dark past as she sets out on a dangerous odyssey.
Leigh plays Doreen while Park plays Scott. Their co-actors include Ben Rezendes as Carl, Curtis McGann as Henry, Dana Millican as Rebecca, Eli Roth as Blake, Jake McDorman as Jack, Jason Rouse as Elvis, J. Claude Deering as David, Jennifer Lanier as Shirley, Julia Fox as Gloria, Michael Kelly as Tommy, Rachel D. Also in the cast are Amanda Sloane as a bartender, Erin Way as a lecturer, Gennadii Omelianiuk as a party guest, Jen Rowe as a waitress, Nela de Paz as a bar patron, Tami Yeager as a dive bar manager and Troy Keyn as a trailer park resident. Brenna Whitsett and Christian Blair‘s characters are students.
