Ruby Pouchet of Playa Pariba, Kralendijk, Bonaire, Netherlands attended the University of Houston in Houston, Texas, United States from 2015 to 2019. She is of Venezuelan descent.
On December 3, 2022, Pouchet represented Playa Pariba at Miss Bonaire 2022, competed against three other finalists at the Courtyard by Marriott Bonaire Dive Resort in Kralendijk and won the title. On March 9, 2024, Pouchet crowned her successor Miss Bonaire 2024 Angie Daza at the same venue.
On May 17, 2024, Pouchet was officially appointed Miss Universe Bonaire 2024. On August 16, 2025, she crowned her successor Nicole Visser Peiliker at the event center of the Delfins Beach Resort Bonaire, Tapestry Collection by Hilton in Kralendijk.

Bonaire was represented in Miss Universe by Miss Bonaire from 1967 to 1969, in 1978, from 1995 to 1999 and in 2022. The island has yet to place in the international beauty pageant.
Pouchet was unplaced when she represented Bonaire at Miss Universe 2024 and competed against 124 other candidates at the Arena Ciudad de Mexico (Arena CDMX) in Azcapotzalco, Mexico City, Mexico on November 16, 2024. The title was won by Victoria Kjær Theilvig of Denmark, who visited Bonaire from June 8-12, 2025.
On November 21, 2025, Peiliker will represent Bonaire at Miss Universe 2025 at the Impact Challenger Hall in Pak Kret, Nonthaburi, Thailand. She will compete against 129 other candidates including Nathalie Mogbelzada, 28, of the Netherlands.
