Fernanda Gonzalez of Albuquerque, New Mexico, United States is pursuing a bachelor’s degree in business at New Mexico State University in Las Cruces, New Mexico. On June 30, 2024, she won Miss New Mexico Teen USA 2024 at the Center for the Arts of the university.

On August 17, 2025, Gonzalez went to the same venue where she crowned her successor Ava Kincaid. The latter will represent New Mexico at Miss Teen USA 2025.

Currently, New Mexico has six Miss Teen USA placements. Representing the state in the national beauty pageant, Cheryl Douds, Carolee Hanson, Jill Vasquez and Brittany Toll finished in the Top 10 in 1984, in 1986, in 1988 and in 2005, respectively, Elizabeth Kranz finished in the Top 15 in 2007 and Jacqueline Cai in the Top 16 in 2012.
