On May 22, 2025, Blaize turned 27. On August 24, 2025, she will go back to the Guyana Marriott Hotel in Georgetown to crown her successor, which marks the 36th edition of the national beauty pageant that selects Guyana’s Miss Universe candidate.

There are nine women competing for the Miss Universe Guyana 2025 crown. I believe these five candidates will make it to the top:

Guyana has yet to have a Miss Universe placement. Rosalind Iva Joan Fung became the first Miss Universe candidate to represent the country in 1956 followed by Clyo Fernandez in 1958 and Gloria Blackman in 1963.

In 2023, Teri Brown Walker of APPLY Productions LLC became the new national director of Miss Universe Guyana. That year, Lisa Narine of Pomeroon-Supenaam won the 34th edition of the beauty pageant.

On November 16, 2024, Blaize represented Guyana at Miss Universe 2024 and competed against 124 other candidates at the Arena Ciudad de México (Arena CDMX) in Azcapotzalco, Mexico City, Mexico. She was unplaced.
