Ana Yanina Lucas Rodríguez is a computer analyst from Lavalleja, Uruguay and an alumna of the Instituto Tecnologico de Informatica and the Universidad de la Republica, which are both in Montevideo, Uruguay. She is the reigning Miss Universe Uruguay 2024.
Miss Universe Uruguay 2025
On September 10, 2025, Lucas will crown her successor at the Auditorio Nelly Goitiño in Montevideo. It is the fourth edition of the national beauty pageant that selects Uruguay’s Miss Universe candidate.
Currently, Uruguay has six Miss Universe placements, including the Top 10 finish of Gladys Rubio Fajardo in 1952, the Top 16 finishes of Ada Alicia Ibáñez Amengual in 1953, Ana Moreno in 1954 and Gabriela Pascal in 1957 and the Top 12 finish of Silvia Beatriz Vila Abavian in 1982. The most recent one was achieved by Andrea Beatríz López Silva, who was the fourth runner-up in 1985.
There are 19 women competed for the Miss Universe Uruguay 2025 crown. If facial beauty is the only criterion, these will be my Top 5 candidates.

Uruguay was represented in Miss Universe by Miss Uruguay from 1952 to 1965, from 1967 to 2002, from 2004 to 2012 and from 2014 to 2019. The country did not compete in 1966, in 2003 and 2013.
Miss Universe Uruguay started in 2020 with Nadia Cerri as the new national director. The competition was not held in 2021 and 2023.
On August 31, 2024, Lucas represented Lavalleja at Miss Universe Uruguay 2024, competed against 18 other candidates at Estadio Cerrado 8 De Junio in Paysandú, Uruguay and won the title. She was unplaced when she represented the country at Miss Universe 2024 at the Arena CDMX in Mexico City, Mexico on November 16, 2024.
