Chidimma Vanessa Onwe Adetshina won Miss Universe Nigeria 2024 at the Eko Hotels and Suits on Victoria Island in Lagos, Nigeria on August 31, 2024. The represented Taraba and bested 24 other candidates.
Runner-up to Adetshina was Paula Ezendu of Anambra, who was crowned Miss Supranational Nigeria 2024. The second runner-up was Peace Ayegbidun of Ondo.
Miss Universe Nigeria 2025 predictions
On August 30, 2025, Adetshina will crown her successor at the Balmoral Convention Center of the Federal Palace Hotel and Casino on Victoria Island. It is the fourth edition of the national beauty pageant that selects Nigeria’s Miss Universe and Miss Supranational candidates.
There are 22 women competing for the Miss Universe Nigeria 2025 crown. I believe these five candidates will make it to the top:

Nigeria was represented in Miss Universe by the winner of Miss Nigeria in 1964, the Most Beautiful Girl in Nigeria (MBGN) from 1987 to 1995 and from 1998 to 2004 and the MBGN first runner-up known as MGBN Universe from 2005 to 2022. Omololu Ojehomon won the inaugural edition of Miss Universe Nigeria in 1984 but she did not compete in Miss Universe.
Currently, Nigeria has three Miss Universe placements. Representing the African country, Agbani Darego finished in the Top 10 in 2001 and Olutosin Araromi finished in the Top 20 in 2019.
On November 16, 2024, Adetshina represented Nigeria at Miss Universe 2024 and competed against 124 other candidates at the Arena Ciudad de México (Arena CDMX) in Azcapotzalco, Mexico City, Mexico. She was runner-up to Victoria Kjær Theilvig of Denmark and was crowned Miss Universe Africa and Oceania 2024.
