Adetshina is a Nigerian-Mozambican-South African beauty queen and netball player. She is the first Miss Universe runner-up from Nigeria.

• On August 5, 2024, South Africa’s home affairs minister Leon Schreiber confirmed that his department was investigating her citizenship at the request of the Miss South Africa organization and with her and her mother’s consent. 
• On August 7, 2024, South Africa’s home affairs ministry announced that there were reasons to believe that fraud and identity theft may have been committed by the person recorded in home affairs records as her mother.
• On August 8, 2024, she withdrew from the Miss South Africa 2024 competition.
