Sampada Ghimire (सम्पदा घिमिरे) was born and raised in Bhaktapur, Bagmati, Nepal. She was Miss National Nepal 2023 second runner-up.
On September 11, 2024, Ghimire competed against 21 other Miss Universe Nepal 2024 finalists at the Godavari Sunrise Convention Center in Godawari, Lalitpur, Bagmati. She won the title.
Runner-up to Ghimire was Smriti Singh of Lalitpur. The respective second, third and fourth runners-up were Akshita Chhetri of Kathmandu, Karren Eva Murray of Lalitpur and Sujal Bam of Doti.
Miss Universe Nepal 2025
On September 24, 2025, Ghimire will crown her successor at Royal Tulip Kathmandu in Lalitpur. It is the ninth edition of the national beauty pageant that selects the Miss Universe candidate of Nepal.
Currently, Nepal has two Miss Universe placements. Gopal Kakshapati was the national director of Miss Universe Nepal from 2017 to 2019 and was replaced by Nagma Shrestha in 2020 and Sangita Puri in 2024.
There are 15 women competing for the Miss Universe Nepal 2025 crown. If facial beauty is the only criterion, these will be my Top 5 candidates:

On December 17, 2018, Manita Devkota represented Nepal at Miss Universe 2018, competed against 93 other candidates at the Impact, Muang Thong Thani in Pak Kret, Nonthaburi, Thailand. She finished in the Top 10.
On November 18, 2023, Jane Dipika Garrett represented Nepal at Miss Universe 2023, competed against 83 other candidates at the Gimnasio Nacional Jose Adolfo Pineda in San Salvador, El Salvador. She finished in the Top 20.
On November 16, 2024, Ghimire represented Nepal at Miss Universe 2024 and competed against 126 other candidates at the Arena Ciudad de México (Arena CDMX) in Azcapotzalco, Mexico City, Mexico. She was unplaced.
