Kleo Torres of Washington, D.C., United States is an alumna of Alabama State University in Montgomery, Alabama, USA and American University in Washington, D.C. She is of Puerto Rican, Cuban and African American descent.

As Miss Nation’s Capital USA 2024, Torres competed against 15 other Miss District of Columbia USA 2024 candidates at the Woolly Mammoth Theatre Company in Washington, D.C. on June 29, 2025. She won the title.

Runner-up to Torres was Terra Johns of Northwest. The respective second, third and fourth runners-up were Alexis Becton of Capitol Hill, Alivia Paden Roberts of Embassy Row and Samira Howard of Southwest.

Miss District of Columbia USA 2025

On September 6, 2025, Torres will crown her successor at Seneca Valley High School in Germantown, Maryland, USA. It is the 70th edition of the beauty pageant that selects Washington, D.C. candidate for Miss USA, which selects the Miss Universe candidate of the country.

Currently, Washington, D.C. has 26 Miss USA placements including the coronations of Barbara Joan “Bobbi” Johnson in 1964, Shauntay Renae Hinton in 2002, Deshauna Barber in 2016 and Kara Deidra McCullough in 2017. Representing the U.S., Johnson finished in the Top 15 at Miss Universe 1964, Hinton was unplaced at Miss Universe 2002, Barber finished in the Top 9 at Miss Universe 2016 and McCullough finished in the Top 10 at Miss Universe 2017.

On August 4, 2024, Torres represented Washington, D.C. at Miss USA 2024 and competed against 50 other candidates at the Peacock Theater in Los Angeles, California, USA. She finished in the Top 20.
