Matilda Wirtavuori was born and raised in Tampere, Finland. On August 7, 2021, she was crowned Miss Tampere 2021 at Periscope in Tampere.

On September 14, 2024, Wirtavuori competed against nine other Miss Suomi 2024 candidates at the Aino Arena in Järvenpää, Uusimaa, Finland and won the title. On September 6, 2025, she crowned her successor Sarah Dzafce at Hybridiarena Hype in Espoo, Finland.

On November 12, 2024, Aalto represented Finland at Miss International 2024 and competed against 70 other candidates at the Tokyo Dome City Hall in Tokyo, Japan. She was unplaced.

On November 16, 2024, Wirtavuori represented Finland at Miss Universe 2024 and competed against 124 other candidates at the Arena Ciudad de México (Arena CDMX) in Azcapotzalco, Mexico City, Mexico. She finished in the Top 30 and was crowned Miss Universe Europe and Middle East 2024.

Dzafce was born to a Kosovar father and a Finnish mother. On November 21, 2025, Dzafce will represent Finland at Miss Universe 2025 at the Impact Challenger Hall in Pak Kret, Thailand where she will compete against more than 120 other candidates including Dorea Shala of Kosovo.
