Born in Tallinn, Estonia, Valeria Vasilieva attended Haabersti Russian High School in Õismäe, Haabersti, Tallinn. On October 1, 2024, she competed against 10 other Miss Universe Estonia 2024 finalists at MCClub in Tallinn and won the title.
Runner-up to Vasilieva was Romina Krizanovskaya and the respective second, third and fourth runners-up were Sophia Gordejev, Viktoria Igben Fondeh and Merili Carola Kriisa. They are all from Tallinn.
Miss Universe Estonia 2025 contestants
On September 30, 2025, Vasilieva will crown her successor at Lagedi Castle in Loo, Harju County, Estonia. It is the second edition of the national beauty pageant that selects the Miss Universe candidate of the country.
Currently, Estonia has two Miss Universe placements. Representing the European country, Kristiina Heinmets and Evelyn Mikomägi finished in the Top 10 in 1997 and 2000, respectively.

Estonia was represented in Miss Universe by Miss Estonia from 1993 to 2004, from 2005 to 2009 and from 2011 to 2013. Natalie Korneitsik, who was runner-up to Miss Estonia 2012 Katlin Valdmets, represented the country at Miss Universe 2012 at the PH Live at Planet Hollywood Resort and Casino in Las Vegas, Nevada, United States.
On May 29, 2024, Miss Universe Bulgaria 2023 Yuliia Pavlikova became the Miss Universe Estonia national director. On September 17, 2025, she was replaced by Korneitsik.
On November 16, 2024, Vasilieva represented Estonia at Miss Universe 2024 and competed against 124other candidates at the Arena Ciudad de México (Arena CDMX) in Azcapotzalco, Mexico City, Mexico. She was unplaced.
