Diane Westhoven of Vestavia Hills, Alabama, United States competed against 33 other Miss Alabama USA 2024 candidates at the Jay and Susie Gogue Performing Arts Center in Auburn, Alabama on June 1, 2024 and won the title. Ashlyn Powers of Fairhope, Allyssa Weyant of Lake Jordan, Olivia Burchfield of Magic City and Halle Sullivan of Northport were respective first, second, third and fourth runners-up.

Miss Alabama USA 2025

On September 20, 2025, Westhoven will crown her successor at the Bologna Performing Arts Center in Cleveland, Mississippi, USA. It is the 70th edition of the beauty pageant that selects Alabama’s candidate for Miss USA, which selects the Miss Universe candidate of the country.

Currently, Alabama has 31 Miss USA placements including the coronation of Sylvia Hitchcock, who won Miss USA 1967 on May 20, 1967 and Miss Universe 1967 on July 15, 1967. She passed away on August 16, 2015 at age 69.

From 2021 to 2025, Westhoven attended Auburn University where she earned her bachelor’s degree in psychology. When she competed against 37 other Miss Alabama USA 2023 candidates at the Jay and Susie Gogue Performing Arts Center of Auburn University on January 28, 2023, she was second runner-up to Sophie Burzynski.

On September 29, 2023, Burzynski represented Alabama at Miss USA 2023, competed against 50 other candidates at Grand Sierra Resort in Reno, Nevada, USA and finished in the Top 20. On August 4, 2024, Westhoven represented Alabama at Miss USA 2024, competed against 50 other candidates at the Peacock Theater in Los Angeles, California, USA and was unplaced.
