Starring Tom Holland, “Spider-Man: Brand New Day” is the fourth film in the Marvel Cinematic Universe film series. Columbia Pictures is co-producing the film with Sony.

Destin Daniel Cretton is directing “Spider-Man: Brand New Day”, which was written by Chris McKenna and Erik Sommers. On September 19, 2025, Holland suffered a mild concussion during a stunt gone wrong on the set of the film at Warner Bros. Studios Leavesden in Watford, Hertfordshire, England, United Kingdom.
At 10:30 a.m. that day, the East of England Ambulance Service was called to attend to a patient who had sustained an injury at the studio complex. A spokesman of the service told The Sun, “An ambulance was sent to the scene and the patient was transported to hospital for further care.”
While recuperating, Holland is taking a break for at least a week. On September 22, 2025, Sony executives met to work out a plan to resume filming, The Hollywood Reporter reported.
Despite the break, the film will still be theatrically released in the United States on July 31, 2026 as scheduled. Also in the cast are Jacob Batalon, Jon Bernthal, Liza Colon-Zayas, Mark Ruffalo, Michael Mando, Sadie Sink, Tramell Tillman and Zendaya.

Holland was born in London, England to Dominic Holland and Nicola Elizabeth Frost Holland. Tom has three younger brothers namely Harry Holland, Sam Holland and Paddy Holland.
Dominic and Nicola got married in 1994. Their sons run The Brothers Trust.
Tom and Zendaya co-starred in the 2017 film “Spider-Man: Homecoming” and the 2019 film “Spider-Man: Far From Home“. In December 2024, they got engaged.
On September 21, 2025, Tom attended a charity dinner for The Brothers Trust in Mayfair, Westminster, London with Dominic and Zendaya. During the event, Dominic confirmed that Tom would be away from filming for a while.
