Charles Bondo Mateus represented the Democratic Republic of the Congo in the 17th edition of Mister International. He is the first man to represent the country in the international beauty pageant based in Bangkok, Thailand.
Launched in 2006, Mister International was founded by Alan Sim. He passed away on October 31, 2022.

- On July 1, 2025, he represented Bern at Mister Suisse Francophone 2025 at the Casino Barrière in Montreux, Switzerland and competed against 25 other candidates including Bastien de Blasio and Pasika Bisakaya. The title was won by de Blasio.
- From September 19-25, 2025, he and his fellow Mister International 2025 candidates stayed at Vince Hotel Bangkok Pratunam in Ratchathewi, Bangkok, Thailand.
- On September 25, 2025, he represented the DR Congo at Mister International 2025 in Bangkok and compete against 41 other candidates including Bisakaya and de Blasio as the representatives of Kenya and Switzerland, respectively. They were all unplaced.
