The reigning Miss Universe Senegal 2024 is Fatou Bintou Gueye of Dakar, Senegal. Originally from Louga, Senegal, she is a model who advocates for women’s education and empowerment in the country.
On July 12, 2024, Gueye represented Louga at Miss Senegal 2024 and competed against 11 other candidates at the Doudou Ndiaye Coumba Rose Grand Theater in Dakar. She was runner-up to Mame Fama Gaye and was crowned Miss Universe Senegal 2024.
Miss Universe Senegal 2025
On September 27, 2025, Gueye will crown her successor the Centre Culturel Blaise Senghor in Dakar. It is the inaugural edition of the national beauty pageant that selects the Miss Universe candidate of Senegal.
Senegal has yet to place in Miss Universe. The African country was represented in the international beauty pageant by Miss Senegal winners Thioro Thiam in 1974, Chantal Loubelo in 1985 and Fabienne Joelle Feliho in 1987.

In 1960, the Ministry of Tourism of Senegal founded Miss Senegal. From 1985 to 1986, Moise Ambroise Gomis was the national director of Miss Universe Senegal.
In January 2016, Amina Colle Badiane became the Miss Senegal president. She became the national director of Miss World Senegal in 2019 and Miss Universe Senegal in 2024.
On November 16, 2024, Gueye represented Senegal at Miss Universe 2024 and competed against 124 other candidates at the Arena Ciudad de México (Arena CDMX) in Azcapotzalco, Mexico City, Mexico. She was unplaced.
On May 31, 2025, as Miss Senegal 2024, Gaye represented Senegal at Miss World 2025 and competed against 107 other candidates at the HITEX Exhibition Centre in Hyderabad, Telangana, India. She was unplaced.
