Janelis Leyba is a Dominican-American model born and raised in New York City, New York, United States. On October 7, 2024, she represented the country at Miss Asia Pacific International 2024, competed against 32 other candidates at the Newport Performing Arts Theater in Pasay City, Metro Manila, Philippines and won the title.
Runner-up to Leyba was Karen Nunez of Mexico. The respective second, third and fourth runners-up were Selena Ali of Belgium, Blessa Figueroa of the Philippines and Jennifer Prokop of Germany.
