Nguyen is a Vietnamese actress, singer, model and beauty queen, who is the first transwoman to represent an Asian country in Miss Universe. She was born Ngoc Hieu in Hanoi, Vietnam to Nguyen Dinh Hoa and Dinh Thi Hien.
