Janelis Leyba is a Dominican-American model born and raised in New York City, New York, United States. On October 7, 2024, she represented the country at Miss Asia Pacific International 2024, competed against 32 other candidates at the Newport Performing Arts Theater in Pasay City, Metro Manila, Philippines and won the title.
Runner-up to Leyba was Karen Nunez of Mexico. The respective second, third and fourth runners-up were Selena Ali of Belgium, Blessa Figueroa of the Philippines and Jennifer Prokop of Germany.
Miss Asia Pacific International 2025
On October 8, 2025, Leyba will crown her successor at the Cebu Coliseum in Cebu City, Philippines. It is the sixth edition of the international beauty pageant.
There are 42 women competing for the Miss Asia Pacific International 2025 crown. They were presented to the press at the Grand Ballroom of Okada Manila in Parañaque, Metro Manila on September 25, 2025.

Miss Asia Pacific International is one of the oldest international beauty pageants based in Metro Manila. It was founded in 1965 as Miss Asia and renamed Miss Asia Pacific in 1984.
In 1985, the competition was renamed Miss Asia Pacific Quest. Contestants from the Americas and the Pacific region were included.
In 2005, the title was renamed Miss Asia Pacific International. Contestants from all countries were then allowed to participate.
Atty. Eva Patalinjug is the current president of Miss Asia Pacific International. Kristine Caballero Aplal is the general manager and Onin Mas is the international affairs director.
