Sofia Labus of Montenotte, Cork City, County Cork, Ireland competed against 26 other Miss Universe Ireland 2024 candidates at the Fairways Hotel in Dundalk, County Louth, Ireland on September 20, 2024. She won the title.
Runner-up to Labus was Caoimhe Kenny of County Donegal, Ireland. The second runner-up was Annie O’Dea of Galway, Ireland.
Miss Universe Ireland 2025
On October 4, 2025, Labus will crown her successor at the Hilton Hotel in Dublin, Ireland. It is the 19th edition of the national beauty pageant that selects the country’s Miss Universe candidate.
Ireland was represented in Miss Universe by Miss Ireland from 1961 to 2001 and Miss Universe Ireland from 2002 to 2024. Currently, the country has 10 placements in the international beauty pageant.

The highest Miss Universe placements of Ireland were the second runner-up finishes of Marlene Margaret McKeown in 1963and Roberta Brown in 1983. The most recent one was achieved by Grainne Gallanagh, who finished in the Top 20 in 2018.
On November 16, 2024, Labus represented Ireland at Miss Universe 2024 and competed against 124 other candidates at the Arena Ciudad de México (Arena CDMX) in Azcapotzalco, Mexico City, Mexico. She was unplaced.
