Sofia Labus of Montenotte, Cork City, County Cork, Ireland competed against 26 other Miss Universe Ireland 2024 candidates at the Fairways Hotel in Dundalk, County Louth, Ireland on September 20, 2024 and won the title. Caoimhe Kenny of County Donegal, Ireland and Annie O’Dea of Galway, Ireland were the first and second runners-up, respectively.
Miss Universe Ireland 2025 contestants
On October 4, 2025, Labus will crown her successor at the Hilton Hotel in Dublin, Ireland. It is the 19th edition of the national beauty pageant that selects the country’s Miss Universe candidate.
Ireland was represented in Miss Universe by Miss Ireland from 1961 to 2001 and Miss Universe Ireland from 2002 to 2024. The national director of Miss Universe Ireland was Eric Morley from 1961 to 1979, Krish Naidoo from 1980 to 1996, Kieran Murray and Roisin MC Queenie from 1997 to 2001, Andrea Roche from 2002 to 2015, Brittany Mason from 2017 to 2021 and Bren Marc Scully since 2023.
Nine women are competing for the Miss Universe Ireland 2025 crown. Here are the candidates:

- Surabhi Agarwal, 26, Dublin
Currently, Ireland has 10 Miss Universe placements including the second runner-up finishes of Marlene Margaret McKeown in 1963and Roberta Brown in 1983. On December 17, 2018, Grainne Gallanagh represented Ireland at Miss Universe 2018, competed against 93 other candidates at the Impact Arena in Pak Kret, Nonthaburi, Thailand and finished in the Top 20.
On November 16, 2024, Labus represented Ireland at Miss Universe 2024 and competed against 124 other candidates at the Arena Ciudad de México (Arena CDMX) in Azcapotzalco, Mexico City, Mexico. She was unplaced.
