Jose Roberto Mena represented Costa Rica in the 22nd edition of Manhunt International male Supermodel. He also represented the country in Mister International, an international beauty pageant founded by Alan Sim.

After Sim’s death October 12, 2022, two versions of Mister International are held annually in Thailand and in the Philippines. Mena participated in both.
