On September 25, 2025, the 42 official candidates of Miss Asia Pacific International 2025 were presented to the press at the Grand Ballroom of Okada Manila in Parañaque, Metro Manila. This marks the sixth edition of the international beauty pageant.

Miss Asia Pacific International is one of the oldest international beauty pageants based in Metro Manila. Atty. Eva Patalinjug its current president while Kristine Caballero Aplal is the general manager and Onin Mas is the international affairs director.
Founded in 1965 as Miss Asia and renamed Miss Asia Pacific in 1984, the beauty pageant was renamed Miss Asia Pacific Quest in 1985 to include contestants from the Americas and the Pacific region. Contestants from all countries have been allowed to participate since the title was renamed Miss Asia Pacific International in 2005.
On October 7, 2024, Leyba represented the U.S. at Miss Asia Pacific International 2024 and competed against 32 other candidates at the Newport Performing Arts Theater in Pasay City, Metro Manila. She won the title.
Runner-up to Leyba was Karen Nunez of Mexico. The respective second, third and fourth runners-up were Selena Ali of Belgium, Blessa Figueroa of the Philippines and Jennifer Prokop of Germany.
