Petra Sivakova competed against 11 other Miss Slovenso 2023 candidates in Bratislava, Slovakia on June 24, 2023. She was runner-up to Daniela Vojtasova while Kinga Puhová was crowned Miss Universe Slovakia 2023.
On September 18, 2024, Sivakova was appointed Miss Universe Slovakia 2024. In February 2025, Sam Dolce became the new Miss Universe Slovakia national director.
Dolce crowned Sivakova’s successor Viktoria Güllova in the final episode of a reality show by Pure Model Management that was aired on October 7, 2025. On November 21, 2025, Güllova will represent Slovakia at Miss Universe 2025 at the Impact Challenger Hall in Pak Kret, Nonthaburi, Thailand.

Slovakia was represented in Miss Universe by Miss Slovensko from 1994 to 1995, Miss Universe Slovenskej Republiky from 1999 to 2018 and in 2022, Miss Česko-Slovensko in 2019. The country did not participate in the competition in the 2020 and 2021 editions.
On November 18, 2023, Puhova represented Slovakia at Miss Universe 2023 and competed against 83 other candidates at the José Adolfo Pineda Arena in San Salvador, El Salvador. She was unplaced.
On November 16, 2024, Sivakova represented Slovakia at Miss Universe 2024 and competed against 124 other candidates at the Arena Ciudad de México (Arena CDMX) in Azcapotzalco, Mexico City, Mexico. She was unplaced.
