Morena Baccarin was born in Rio de Janeiro, Brazil while Camila Mendes was born in Charlottesville, Virginia, United States. They are both in the cast of “Masters of the Universe“.
Baccarin has two sons and one daughter. She turned 46 on June 2, 2025 and Mendes turned 31 on June 29, 2025.

Mendes plays Teela, the Captain of the Guards, in “Masters of the Universe”, which will be released on June 5, 2026. The character is the sergeant of He-Man, played by Nicholas Galitzine.
Teela is the biological daughter of the Sorceress of Castle Grayskull, played by Baccarin, and the adoptive daughter of He-Man’s lieutenant Man-At-Arms, played by Idris Elba. Artie Wilkinson-Hunt and Eire Farrell play the younger versions of He-Man and Teela, respectively.
“It was really cool once I got there and saw the costume and what they had in mind for me, the whole get-up and the wig and contacts and all of it,” Baccarin told Variety. “I’m so excited to see what they make of it because I feel like my part of it was just such a small element to what it’s going to actually be in the end.”
Jóhannes Haukur Jóhannesson plays Man-At-Arms’ brother and Teela’s adoptive uncle Malcolm. Alison Brie plays Evil-Lyn, the lieutenant of Skeletor, the leader of the Evil Warriors, played by Jared Leto.
Skeletor and King Randor, played by James Purefoy, are half-brothers. King Randor is He-Man’s father.
Sasheer Zamata‘s character Suzie is He-Man’s best friend from Earth. Also in the cast are Arun Bassi as Pig Boy, Charlotte Riley as Queen Marlena Glenn, Christian Vunipola as Hussein, Hafþór Júlíus Björnsson as Goat Man, James Wilkinson as Mekaneck, Jon Xue Zhang as Ram-Man, Kojo Attah as Tri-Klops, Kristen Wiig as Roboto, Max Krause as Officer T. Black, Sam C. Wilson as Trap Jaw and Stephen Adentan as Moss Man.
Chris Butler wrote the screenplay of the film, which was directed by Travis Knight. Fabian Wagner was the cinematographer and Paul Rubell is the editor.
On January 6, 2025, filming started in London, England, United Kingdom. On June 15, 2025, Galitzine took to Instagram to confirm that it had officially wrapped.
