Sai Toung Law represented Myanmar in the 11th edition of Mister World. He is the second man to represent the country in the international beauty pageant.

BIOGRAPHY

Law is a Burmese teacher, model and beauty king who overcame obstacles as a victim of body-shaming and cyberbullying. He is trilingual.

“As a child who was born from a small village, a student who was bullied because of my sexual orientation and gender identity, a young person who experienced cyberbullying and body-shaming when I started modeling and someone who comes from a broken family, despite all the hardships, challenges and difficulties I’ve faced in life, I’ve learned to stand tall and rise above the circumstances,” Law wrote on social media on September 20, 2023. “Most importantly, I never let those obstacles define my worth and my future.”

1. He was born and raised in Hsipaw, Shan State, Myanmar.
2. He went to TCMI Fashion Academy International in Marikina City, Metro Manila, Philippines and Lashio University in Lashio, Shan State.
3. He is the first ever English teacher from Hsipaw.
4. He has been a pageant fanatic since 2009.
5. He won Mister Christmas 2014 in Yangon, Myanmar, which was his first ever beauty pageant.
6. He is a big fan of Miss Universe 2015 Pia Wurtzbach.
7. In 2017, he was a peer tutor at American Center Yangon in Yangon and he visited Thailand.
8. He was Mister Republic of Myanmar 2017 first runner-up.
9. In 2019, he founded the Empower Education Campaign (EEC).
10. He was Mister Global Myanmar 2023 first runner-up.

12. He was crowned Mister World Myanmar 2024 while he was volunteering as an English teacher.

• In April 2017, he traveled to Pattaya, Thailand.
• On August 5, 2017, he competed at Mister Republic of Myanmar 2017. He was the first runner-up.
• In August 2017, he went to Marikina City.
• In March 2018, he traveled to Bangkok, Thailand.
• In August 2018, he visited Chanayetharzan Township, Mandalay, Myanmar.
• On May 15, 2019, he founded the EEC.

2020s

• On March 12, 2020, he started a talk show called “Voice for the Voiceless”, where he allows his students to share their stories.
• On October 1, 2023, he competed against 12 other Mister Global Myanmar 2023 candidates at the Hexagon Complex of Shwe Htut Tin in Yangon. He was runner-up to Ye Thway Thiha.
• On October 30, 2024, he was appointed Mister World Myanmar 2024.
• On November 5, 2024, he wore an outfit designed by Terry Burness and traveled from Yangon to Ho Chi Minh City, Vietnam.
• From November 6-15, 2024, he participated in various Mister World 2024 activities wearing outfits designed by Khin Cho Mar Aye, May Kyaw Soe, Min Bhone Kha, Mudon Dar Dar and Oo Myo.
• On November 17, 2024, the Mister World 2024 running race in Vũng Tàu marked the first time he completed a 5-kilometer run.
• On November 20, 2024, he wore a Tai Lue Shan costume in the Mister World 2024 national costume competition at NovaWorld in Phan Thiết, Bình Thuận, Vietnam.
• On November 23, 2024, he represented Myanmar at Mister World 2024 and competed against 60 other candidates at NovaWorld in Phan Thiết. He won the Beauty with a Purpose challenge and finished in the Top 20.
