Refiloe Guthrie Makoae won the 25th edition of Miss Lesotho. She represented Lesotho in the second edition of Miss Cosmo.

BIOGRAPHY

Makoae is a Mosotho human resources practitioner, endurance athlete, model and beauty queen. She advocates for menstrual health and education and HR and workplace wellbeing.

Before becoming a beauty queen, Makoae was a football player and a recreational endurance athlete. She is the first ever Miss Cosmo Lesotho.

2022

• On September 24, 2022, she represented Kick4Life Ladies Club at Miss Football Queen 2022 at the Allen Hall of the Lesotho College of Education in Maseru and was the first princess. Organized by the Lesotho Women Football Resource Mobolization Committee, the contest marked her beauty pageant debut.
• On November 26, 2022, she competed against 15 other Miss Maseru 2022 candidates at the Lehakoe Hall in Maseru and won the title.

2023

• On April 1, 2023, she attended the Sothokids Culture Agency’s Creative Awards at Victoria Hotel in Maseru.
• In May 2023, she visited several schools including Itekeng High School in Maseru and talked to students about mental health.
• On November 11, 2023, she visited Tholoana ea Lerato in Maseru and talked to the girls there about mental health.

2024

• In April 2024, she walked for Agno and Lion Fashion House at the Morena Moshoeshoe Fashion Fair and Expo 2024 in Maseru.
• On September 7, 2024, she competed against 11 other Miss Lesotho 2024 candidates at the Victory Hall in Maseru and won the title.
• In October 2024, she started her internship at Revenue Services Lesotho, which was one of her prizes as Miss Lesotho 2024.

2025

• On February 23, 2025, she represented Revenue Services Lesotho in the Maseru City Run in Maseru, which was her first marathon.
• In April 2025, she traveled to Harare, Zimbabwe.
• On September 14, 2025, she was officially appointed Miss Cosmo Lesotho 2025.
• On December 20, 2025, she represented Lesotho at Miss Cosmo 2025 and competed against 70 other candidates at the Creative Park in Ho Chi Minh City, Vietnam. She was unplaced.
