Cristian Etpison Nicolescu, 31, Palau has made history as the first ever Mister Frontier Oceania. On December 21, 2025, CONAN Daily selected the Palauan diplomat and athlete as the country’s candidate in the inaugural edition of Mister Frontier International.
The publication established the exclusive digital search to spotlight the last frontiers of beauty pageants, which include Palau. This ensures that by the end of 2025, every country and territory has a representative celebrated in pageantry.
Located in the Micronesia region of Oceania, Palau is the 16th smallest country in the world. The country has more species of marine life than any other area of similar size in the world.

Professionally, he serves as the Minister Counsellor at the Embassy of Palau in Tokyo, Japan, a role he assumed after completing a degree in International Business at Temple University. In February 2025, he secured gold in the Male Master 1 Purple Belt Open Weight division at the Marianas Professional BJJ Tournament in Tokyo. Mister Frontier International 2025
With a long-term goal of earning a black belt in Brazilian jiujitsu, Nicolescu aims to establish the sport in Palau to mentor the next generation of grapplers, solidifying his legacy as both a strategic diplomat and a champion of Palauan athletics. To honor his role as a distinguished Palauan figure balancing a career in high-level diplomacy with elite combat sports, he was appointed Mister Frontier Palau 2025 by CONAN Daily.
Including Nicolescu, 35 men were handpicked by the publication as the Mister Frontier International 2025 candidates. They were scored based on the engagement their photos and videos received on the CONAN Daily platforms from December 21-30, 2025, their photogenicity and their global influence.
Before the final round, Nicolescu won the special title Mister Sovereign Attache Frontier 2025. Overall, he finished in the Top 10.
It was Prince Abdul Mateen, 34, of Brunei who won the Mister Frontier International 2025 crown. Also crowned were Mister Frontier Diamond 2025 Karalo Maibuca, 26, of Tuvalu, Mister Frontier Sapphire 2025 Kaimauri Erati, 20, of Kiribati, Mister Frontier Emerald 2025 Winzar Kakiouea, 24, of Nauru and Mister Frontier Ruby 2025 Myrat Bayram, 35, of Turkmenistan.
As the highest ranking Palauan candidate aside from the five titleholders, Nicolescu won the Mister Frontier Oceania 2025 title. CONAN Daily now considers him the ambassador of all Palauan countries underrepresented in beauty pageants until the next winner of the title is crowned.
Mister Frontier International is an independent, non-commercial digital initiative. All titles are strictly honorary and do not carry monetary rewards, physical sashes or material prizes. The true value of each title is the historic opportunity to serve as a global ambassador for a nation rarely celebrated in beauty pageants. By bypassing the traditional physical stage, the titleholder and CONAN Daily join forces to make history in pageantry.
