Petra Matina Mataiti, 24, will represent the Cook Islands in the 37th edition of Miss Pacific Islands. She was the winner of Miss Maine Purotu Cook Islands of Victoria 2025.

Mataiti is an aviation worker who comes from a large family. She was born and raised on the island of Aitutaki, Cook Islands.

Currently, Mataiti is based in Melbourne, Victoria, Australia. The Aitutaki native works at the Melbourne Airport, the second busiest airport in Oceania after Sydney Airport in Mascot, New South Wales, Australia.

Miss Maine Purotu Cook Islands of Victoria 2025

On July 26, 2025, the Miss Maine Purotu Cook Islands of Victoria 2025 coronation ceremony was held at the Palmyra Reception in Dandenong, Victoria. Maine Kuki Airani Aotearoa 2024 Ngatepaeru Marie Maoate graced the event as a special guest.

Five candidates competed for the title. At the end of the ceremony, Mataiti was crowned as the winner.

Runner-up to Mataiti is Lydia Topa, 21, of Mitiaro. Bonnie Teremoana Autupuna, 19, of Rarotonga is the second runner-up while Tura Tumatangi, 17, of Manihiki and Justice Matakino, 18, Mangaia are the respective third and fourth runners-up.

Miss Pacific Islands 2026

On February 14, 2026, Mataiti will represent the Cook Islands at Miss Pacific Islands 2026 at the Sofitel Fiji Resort and Spa on Denarau Island, Nadi, Fiji. t is the 37th edition of the regional beauty pageant held in the Pacific Islands.

Including Mataiti, seven women will compete for the title. The other candidates are Tofoipupū Unutoa, 25, of American Samoa, Ailava Samuels, 19, of Fiji, Atiterentaai Rinimarawa, 23, of Kiribati, Iampela Popena, 19, of Papua New Guinea, Feagaimaali’i Soti Mapu, 24, of Samoa and Siosi’ana Patricia Taumoepeau, 24, of Tonga.

    The reigning Miss Pacific Islands 2025 is Litara Loma Leilani Ieremia Allan of Samoa. She won the title on February 8, 2025 at Friendship Hall in Honiara, Solomon Islands.
