On November 21, 2025, VandenBerg represented Canada at Miss Universe 2025, competed against 119 other candidates at the Impact Challenger Hall in Pak Kret, Nonthaburi, Thailand and finished in the Top 30. On May 14, 2026, she and her boyfriend Aaron Hernandez welcomed their daughter Charlotte Nicole Hernandez VandenBerg.
On August 8, 2026, Jaime made her final walk onstage as the reigning queen at the Miss Universe Canada 2026 coronation ceremony at the St. Clair Centre for the Arts in Windsor while carrying Charlotte. At the end of the event, Jaime crowned her successor Aslihan Morali.
