Mariyam Lorba Konneh represented Sierra Leone in the 73rd edition of Miss World. Founded by Eric Morley, it is an international beauty pageant based in London, England, United Kingdom.

BIOGRAPHY

Konneh is a Sierra Leonean television presenter, entrepreneur and beauty queen from Pujehun, Sierra Leone. An advocate for menstrual health, girls’ education and youth empowerment, she founded of the skincare and beauty brand Mariyam’s Ways, the feminine hygiene product line Mariyam’s Essentials and the lifestyle brand All Your Phases.

After graduating from Beacon High School in Freetown, Sierra Leone, Konneh entered the Institute of Public Administration and Management (IPAM) of the University of Sierra Leone in Freetown. She obtained a certificate in computerized accounting from BlueCrest College in Freetown and a certificate in business and accountancy from the International Business Management Institute, an online education provider based in Berlin, Germany.

While attending IPAM and hosting the show “Mariyam’s Ways” at the Africa Young Voices Media (AYV) on MultiChoice DStv channel 399, Konneh was appointed Miss World Sierra Leone 2026. She is the 16th woman to represent Sierra Leone in Miss World.

1. In 2017, she initiated her first school feeding program on her birthday, by sharing a meal with classmates who could not afford lunch.

5. In 2023, she visited Turkiye, Nigeria and Ghana.
6. She attended the 2023 Economic Community of West African States (ECOWAS) Female Parliamentarians Association (ECOFEPA) town hall meeting.
7. In 2024, she was included in the group of the 50 Most Influential Sierra Leonean Women awardees and she visited the United Arab Emirates.
8. In 2025, she visited Namibia and South Africa.
9. She is Miss Pujehun 2025 and was Miss Sierra Leone 2025 first runner-up and a 2025 Commonwealth Business Summit speaker.
10. In 2026, she visited Vietnam.

• On June 1, 2024, she was honored as one of the 50 Most Influential Sierra Leonean Women awardees.

• On April 28, 2025, she represented Pujehun at Miss Sierra Leone 2025 and competed against 14 other candidates at the Bintumani Conference Centre on Aberdeen in Freetown. She was runner-up to Lachaeveh Alberta Caizarine Davies.
• From June 18-20, 2025, she was a speaker at the 2025 Commonwealth Business Summit in Windhoek, Namibia.
• On June 26, 2025, she traveled to South Africa.

2026

• On July 20, 2026, she was appointed Miss World Sierra Leone 2026.
• On September 5, 2026, she represented Sierra Leone at Miss World 2026 and competed against 110 other candidates in Nha Trang, Vietnam.
