Was Duxbury, Massachusetts’ Lindsay Clancy found guilty of murder?

Lindsay Marie Musgrove Clancy‘s murder trial began in Plymouth County Superior Court in Plymouth, Massachusetts, United States on July 27, 2026. There are three men and nine women in the jury.

On August 28, 2026, the jurors requested to view the only exhibits which they had not been given access to, which were Clancy’s prescription medication bottles and the knife that she had used in her attempted suicide after she strangled her three children. The jurors were told to return in the morning of August 31, 2026.

Clancy is an American nurse from Duxbury, Massachusetts. She and Patrick W. Clancy had three children together namely Cora Marie Musgrove Clancy, Dawson William Musgrove Clancy and Callan Patrick Musgrove Clancy.

2020s

• On May 26, 2022, she gave birth to Callan in Duxbury.
• In September 2022, she began to experience stress and anxiety toward the end of her maternity leave and returned to work.
• On September 15, 2022, she had her first appointment with Tufts, who diagnosed her with chronic generalized anxiety disorder and chronic adjustment disorder with depressed mood and prescribed her sertraline.
• In October 2022, her mental health began declining, according to her mother.

• On November 30, 2022, after Jolotta prescribed her quetiapine fumarate for the first time, she quickly reported the negative impact the medication had on her mental health and told Jolotta’s coworker Latiesha Dukes that she had addiction to Attivan.
• On December 5, 2022, she reported to Dukes that she had experienced intrusive thoughts of wanting to die and had contacted ASPIRE Crisis support.
• On December 6, 2022, Jolotta asked her if she was having thoughts of harming herself or her children, which she denied, and prescribed her diazepam.
• On December 9, 2022, after being told she was still experiencing panic and suicidal ideation, Jolotta advised her to continue taking diazepam.
• On December 20, 2022, she admitted herself into a day hospital program at Women and Infants Hospital in Providence, Rhode Island, USA. The hospital determined that her mental health issues were likely due to overmedication and misdiagnosis and that its day program was therefore not appropriate for her then reached out to Jollotta to discuss her care but Jollotta failed to respond to them.
• On January 1, 2023, she admitted herself to McLean Hospital in Belmont, Massachusetts as a result of suicidal ideation and remained there until January 5, 2023.
• On January 6, 2023, she returned to treatment with Tufts, who diagnosed her with depressive disorder described as chronic, mayor, single episode and moderate.
• On January 12, 2023, she reported to Tufts that she was “still feeling a very low mood, no motivation, and just very depressed”.
• On January 24, 2023, she fatally strangled Cora, Dawson and Callan in Duxbury.
• On January 16, 2023, she had a 17-minute visit with Tufts, who then described her mood as depressed and affect as depressed and flat.
• On January 23, 2023, she had a 17-minute appointment with Tufts, who recorded that her psychiatric condition generally was unchanged.
• On the evening of January 24, 2023, while Patrick was out to to pick up children’s medicine and a takeout dinner order, she used exercise bands to strangle Cora, Dawson and Callan inside their home in Duxbury before cutting her neck and wrists and throwing herself from the bedroom window. Cora and Dawson were pronounced dead that night while Callan was airlifted to a hospital. She also survived but was left paralyzed from the waist down.
