On the afternoon of October 29, 2024, Williams and seven male juveniles, aged 16 and 17, went to a parking lot at an early voting site outside the Beaches Branch Library in Neptune Beach where they waved a flag with the words “Don’t Blame Me, I Voted for Trump”. They later approached a group of people waving signs in support of Harris.

At one point, Williams allegedly brandished a machete in an aggressive threatening posture over his head at two women, 71 and 54, at the polling location. The two women, whose names were not released, then called the police.

Neptune Beach Police Department officers took Williams into custody. He was held at a pretrial detention facility.

Williams was charged with improper exhibition of a dangerous weapon and aggravated assault on a person aged 65 years or older. The former is a misdemeanor and the latter is a felony.

On October 30, 2024, Williams appeared in court before Judge Mose Floyd. The judge set the teenagers’s bond on the felony charge at $50,003 and bond on the misdemeanor charge at $5,003.

The 60th U.S. quadrennial presidential election will be on November 5, 2024. Trump and Harris’s respective running mates are JD Vance, 40, and Tim Walz, 60.

On November 20, 2024, Williams will be back in court in Duval County. If he was to be released on bond, he will be outfitted with a global position system (GPS) monitor and prohibited from going within a thousand feet of a polling place unless it is for the specific purpose of him casting a vote, according to Floyd.
