Dylan S. Weeks, 23, of Du Quoin, Perry County, Illinois, United States attended Du Quoin High School from 2016 to 2020. In January 2022, he became a Continental Tire employee.

Why was Dylan Weeks arrested?
On the afternoon of March 17, 2024, Weeks was driving a black 2013 Infiniti with two passengers, a man, 19, and an infant. At around 4:54 p.m., the car crossed the center median on U.S. 51 south of Greens Market Road in Du Quoin and hit a red 2013 Dodge head-on at a high rate of speed.
The red 2013 Dodge was being driven by a man, 56, of Du Quoin. He was taken to an area hospital with non-life-threatening injuries.
Weeks was also taken to an area hospital by ambulance with non-life-threatening injuries while his adult passenger was airlifted to a regional hospital with life-threatening injuries. The infant they were with died at the scene.
Because of the crash, Weeks was cited for driving under the influence of alcohol, failure to reduce speed to avoid an accident and failure to wear a seatbelt, failure to properly secure child in child restraint and illegal transportation of alcohol by a driver, improper lane usage. His adult passenger was cited for failure to wear a seatbelt.
On November 27, 2024, a judge in Perry County issued a warrant for Weeks’ arrest. That day, the Illinois State Police with the help of the Du Quoin Police Department arrested Weeks at his residence in Du Quoin.
The charges filed against Weeks were three counts of aggravated driving under the influence of alcohol. He was booked into the Perry County Jail in Pinckneyville, Perry County.
