Chloe Jade “CJ” Mason of Brisbane, Queensland, Australia has died. She was 23.

Mason is Hannah McKone, Dani Mason and Jacob Mason‘s sister. At around 12:10 a.m. on December 22, 2024, CJ was found unconscious and not breathing on Railway Parade in Caboolture, Moreton Bay, Queensland.

Two men allegedly assaulted CJ in a gang brawl, chased her down the street, gunned her down and stabbed her. The suspects’ names have yet to be released.

After police provided cardiopulmonary resuscitation (CPR) and first aid, CJ was pronounced dead at the scene. She had at least one gunshot wound.

In 2015, CJ met Bianca Alexanderson‘s son Kane Alexanderson. Chloe and Kane were in an on-and-off relationship.

On January 26, 2020, Kane and two teenagers, both 17, were stabbed during an altercation at the IStay River City hotel on Albert Street in Brisbane. The three, along with five other members of a gang, stormed inside the high-rise apartment to confront a man watching fireworks.

The man stabbed Kane and the two teenagers. After being stabbed twice, Kane was rushed to the Royal Brisbane and Women’s Hospital in Herston, Queensland with a life-threatening injury.

On February 1, 2020, Kane died from his wounds. He was 18.

The other two victims were discharged from hospital. One of them suffered wounds to the abdomen and the other one had significant facial injuries.

In 2023, the man who stabbed Kane was found not guilty of manslaughter. The man was entitled to defend himself from the gang, according to the judge.
