Chad Hockman, 50, of Warrenton, Fauquier County, Virginia, United States was recently arrested. He is accused of being an online predator.

Fauquier County is around 37 miles away from Fairfax County, Virginia. Recently, the Major Crimes Bureau’s Child Exploitation Unit (CEXU) of the Fairfax County Police Department conducted a multi-day operation targeting online predators, which led to the arrest of seven men including Hockman.

On February 11, 2025, the FCPD announced the arrest of Hockman and the six other suspects. Upon arriving in Fairfax County with plans to commit sexual acts with minors, they were arrested by detectives from FCPD’s CEXU and the Street Crimes Unit.

Hockman is the oldest among the seven suspects. They are accused of using online platforms to initiate inappropriate conversations with individuals they believed to be underage.

The seven suspects collectively face a total of 25 felony charges. In particular, Hockman was charged with solicitation of a minor and indecent liberties with a minor.

Aside from Warrenton, Hockman has lived in other parts of Virginia including Fairfax. Founded in 1810, Warrenton was named for Joseph Warren, the second president of the Massachusetts Provincial Congress.

Before moving to Warrenton, Hockman lived in West Palm Beach, Florida, USA. He has also lived in different parts of Ohio, USA including Canal Winchester, Carroll and Columbus.
