Elena K. Milby Bardin, 27, is a married woman from Columbia, Adair County, Kentucky, United States. The city is home to Adair County High School and Lindsey Wilson College.

Scott is Edgar Milby and Jean Milby‘s son. Born in Magnolia, LaRue County, Kentucky to Charles Milby and Martha Milby Wells, Edgar was a member of Virginia Avenue United Methodist Church.
From 2015 to 2019, Bardin attended Lindsey Wilson College in Columbia. From May 2016 to August 2017, she was a counselor at Camp Loucon in Leitchfield, Grayson County, Kentucky.
On February 27, 2018, Edgar turned 81. On June 14, 2018, he passed away.
On January 10, 2019, Bardin got married. She and her husband have one daughter together.
On August 17, 2024, Bardin was hired by the Adair County Schools, a public school district based in Columbia. In September 2024, she turned 27.
Adair Juvenile Detention Center
As an Adair County School teacher, Bardin was assigned to the Adair Juvenile Detention Center in Columbia. She is accused of subjecting a male juvenile at the facility to illegal sexual contact and providing him with sexually explicit images of herself.
On March 27, 2025, the facility conducted a routine search of juveniles’ living units. Letters and explicit material were found in the male juvenile’s possession sent by Bardin.
The facility immediately confiscated the material and contacted Post 15 of the Kentucky State Police in Columbia. Detectives also found evidence that Bardin solicited the male juvenile to murder her husband.
On April 2, 2025, Bardin was arrested and booked into the Adair County Detention Center in Columbia. She was charged with murder (solicitation), first-degree sexual abuse and distribution of obscene matter to a minor (first offense).
