James R. Barberio has been the mayor of Parsippany-Troy Hills, Morris County, New Jersey, United States since 2022. He also held the position from 2010 to 2017.
Parsippany-Troy Hill is commonly known as Parsippany. The township hosted Miss New Jersey USA in 2024.
New Jersey currently has 20 Miss USA placements including the coronations of Charlotte Ray in 1991 and Chhavi Verg in 2017. The most recent one was the Top 20 finish of Derby Chukwudi in 2023.
Miss New Jersey USA 2024
On June 23, 2024, Jabili Kandula of Hoboken, Hudson County, New Jersey was crowned Miss New Jersey USA 2024 at the Hilton Parsippany in Parsippany-Troy Hills. The respective first, second, third and fourth runners-up were Lili Meloul, Rashmi Naik, Ivy Harrington and Jenna Abdelqader.
On August 4, 2024, Kandula represented New Jersey at Miss USA 2024 and competed against 50 other candidates at the Peacock Theater in Los Angeles, California, USA. She was unplaced.
Miss New Jersey USA 2025
On April 6, 2025, Kandula will crown her successor at the Hilton Parsippany. It is the 74th edition of the state-level beauty pageant that selects New Jersey’s Miss USA candidate.
