Tyler J. Chorjel, 25, of Meridian, Ada County, Idaho, United States is a former resident of Boise, Ada County. He is a former employee of the Boise School District, which has four traditional senior high schools namely Boise High School, Borah High School, Capital High School and Timberline High School.
Miss Idaho Teen USA 1998, Miss Idaho USA 2001 and Miss Idaho 2004 Elizabeth Margaret Barchas graduated from Boise High School in 1998. Former Major League Baseball player Michael Stefanic attended Timberline High School.

On April 22, 2023, Chorjel was arrested by Boise Police Department officers. He was charged with driving under the influence.
On October 3, 2023, Chorjel was arrested again in Boise. Details about the charges are not available.
During the 2023-2024 school year, Chorjel was a Boise School District employee. He was an assistant baseball coach at East Junior High School and Les Bois Junior High School, which are both in Boise.
On March 1, 2024, Chorjel was hired as a substitute teacher but during the 2023-2024 school year, he did not serve in that role. In July 2024, he turned 25.
During the 2024-2025 school year, Chorjel substituted for 7.5 days at two schools. He was a substitute teacher at Boise High School on September 17, 2024 and at Timberline High School for half day on September 18, 2024 and for a whole day on March 6, 2025, on March 6, 2025, on March 14, 2025, on March 27, 2025 and on April 3, 2025.
While in Newport, Beach, California, USA, Chorjel allegedly posed as a 16-year-old boy and requested and received sexual photos and videos from two juvenile females. The Newport Beach Police Department investigated the case and identified him as the suspect.
On April 9, 2025, Chorjel was arrested by Boise Police Department officers again and booked into the Ada County Jail in Boise. After his arrest, the Boise School District terminated his employment.
