Nevaeh “Pebbles” James of Anchorage, Alaska, United States is the founder of Unruffled Minds, an initiative promoting mental health and keeping girls in sports. She is an alumna of Robert Service High School, Alaska Middle College School and the University of Alaska Anchorage, which are all in Anchorage.
On June 1, 2024, James represented Anchorage at Miss Alaska Teen USA 2024 and competed against four other candidates at the Wendy Williamson Auditorium of the University of Alaska Anchorage. She won the title.
Runner-up to James was Miss Forget-Me-Not Teen USA 2024 Aidyn Ashton. James also won the Miss Photogenic award.
Miss Alaska Teen USA 2025
On August 3, 2025, James will crown her successor at the Recital Hall of the University of Alaska Anchorage. It is the 43rd edition of the beauty pageant that selects Alaska’s Miss Teen USA candidate.
Miss Alaska USA 2017 Alyssa London will host the coronation ceremony. Miss USA 2022 Morgan Romano will serve as the head judge.
There are five girls competing for the Miss Alaska Teen USA 2025 title. I believe these three candidates will make it to the top:

Alaska currently has three Miss Teen USA placements. Representing the state, Marla Johnson was first runner-up in 1990 while Brittany Jackson finished in the Top 10 in 2003 and Sonja Garness finished in the Top 15 in 2005.
Miss Alaska Teen USA 1998 Sarah Ann Smith is the mother of Miss Alaska Teen USA 2021 Elle Smith. Garness and Miss Alaska Teen USA 2002 Rachel Marie Garness are sisters.
On August 1, 2024, James represented Alaska at Miss Teen USA 2024 and competed against 50 other candidates at the Peacock Theater in Los Angeles, California, USA. She was unplaced.
