Frank J. Quaranta of Scottsdale, Arizona, United States has died. He was 67.

Before moving to Scottsdale, Quaranta lived in different parts of New Jersey, USA including Clifton and Woodbridge. He also lived in Brooklyn, New York, USA and in Fort Lauderdale, Florida, USA.
In March 2025, Quaranta turned 67. On September 1, 2025, he did not show up for work so the Scottsdale Police Department was called to his residence near 68th Street and McDowell Road in Scottsdale for a welfare check.
At around 1:30 p.m., after being unable to contact Quaranta, responding officers forced entry inside the residence where they found him dead. He was murdered allegedly by Matthew Stephen Dieringer, 35, of Tempe, Arizona.

Dieringer is 6’3″ tall and he weighs around 185 pounds. He has blonde hair and blue eyes.
Aside from Tempe, Dieringer has lived in other parts of Arizona including Mesa. He is a former resident of Pueblo, Colorado, USA and Florissant, Colorado.
With a history of homelessness, Dieringer is known for befriending others to assist him with a place to stay.
In Colorado, Dieringer has a history of arrests for assault, burglary and criminal mischief. At least one family member obtained a protective order against him.
On June 25, 2020, Teller County Animal Control officer Trixie Hudspeth responded to Samuel Krabbenhoft‘s mobile home in Florissant with three other law enforcement officers for a welfare check on his two dogs. He said he feared something bad had happened to the dogs based on concerning text messages he received from his then new roommate, Dieringer.
On July 21, 2020, Krabbenhoft turned 45. His two dogs were brutally killed allegedly by Dieringer, who went on the run.
On July 26, 2020, Dieringer was arrested at the Days Inn Motel on East Geddes Avenue in Englewood, Colorado and booked into the Arapahoe County Jail in Centennial, Colorado. He was charged with two felony counts of animal abuse and his bond was set at $10,000.
How Dieringer was released is unclear. On May 6, 2025, he turned 35.
Currently, Dieringer is on the run. The Scottsdale Police Department has yet to release details about how he was identified as the suspect in the killing of Quaranta.
