Operation Rolling Thunder is a sting operation recently conducted in Schertz, Texas, United States to target sexual predators. The city is home to John Paul II High School and Samuel Clemens High School.

Schertz is around 21 miles away from Marion, Guadalupe County, Texas. James “Jim” Lowery Jr. has been the Schertz Police Department chief since June 2022 and Joshua Ray has been the Guadalupe County sheriff since January 1, 2025.

Operation Rolling Thunder

The Guadalupe County Sheriff’s Office launched Operation Rolling Thunder with Guadalupe County Constable Precinct 3, the Schertz Police Department, the Texas Department of Public Safety, the U.S. Air Force Office of Special Investigations, the U.S. Army Criminal Investigation Division and the U.S. Border Patrol. Also involved in the operation were the police departments of Converse, Bexar County, Texas; San Antonio, Texas and San Marcos, Hays County, Texas.

A total of 16 men from Texas were arrested during the operation. Here are their names and ages and the charges files against them:

  1. Alberto Vega Jr., 45, of Converse was charged with solicitation of prostitution of a person under 18.
  2. Cedell Wright, 43, New Braunfels, Texas was charged with solicitation of prostitution.
  3. Eduardo Hernandez-Diaz, 32, of San Antonio was charged with solicitation of prostitution.
  4. Harold Earl Coleman, 38, Selma, Texas was charged with solicitation of prostitution and solicitation of prostitution of a person under 18.
  5. John Joseph Digirogio, 61, of Fischer, Comal County, Texas was charged with solicitation of prostitution.
  6. Jonathan Dale Savage, 27, of Schertz was charged with solicitation of prostitution and solicitation of prostitution of a person under 18.
  7. Jorge Luis Sarabia-Dominguez, 41, of San Antonio was charged with solicitation of prostitution with previous conviction.
  8. Kevin Rury, 68, of Schertz was charged with solicitation of prostitution.
  9. Marvin Charles McCarthy, 32, Canyon Lake, Comal County was charged with solicitation of prostitution and online solicitation of a minor.
  10. Michael Goodley, 31, of San Antonio was charged with solicitation of prostitution and solicitation of prostitution of a person under 18.
  11. Randall Moore Awbrey, 37, of San Antonio was charged with solicitation of prostitution and solicitation of prostitution of a person under 18.
  12. Robert Brian Hopper, 45, of San Antonio was charged with solicitation of prostitution.
  13. Robert Jewell, 67, of San Antonio was charged with solicitation of prostitution and solicitation of prostitution of a person under 18.
  14. Roman Michael Alfaro, of 35, San Antonio was charged with solicitation of prostitution.
  15. Trevor McGaughey Burton, 35, of Marion was charged with solicitation of prostitution.
  16. Wesley Ryan Pelech, 42, Floresville, Wilson County, Texas was charged with solicitation of prostitution and possession of a controlled substance.
