Isaiah Rashad Collins, 27, of Pembroke Pines, Broward County, Florida, United States has been arrested. He is accused of killing Octavis Anthony Myers of Pembroke Pines and a woman.

Octavis Myers

Myers was 5’7″ and his registered weight was 130 pounds. He was trained in handling any heating, ventilation and air conditioning (HVAC) need for residential, business and industrial customers.

On September 14, 2016, Myers was arrested in Broward County. On August 16, 2024, he was arrested in the same county for possession of marijuana and strong-arm robbery.

On January 29, 2025, Myers turned 28. How he and Collins were related is still unclear.

Isaiah Collins

Collins is a Democrat. He frequently lived in the house of his grandparents Samuel D. Collins, 81, and his wife Carrie T. Collins, 79, live at 1730 NW 109 Avenue in Pembroke Pines.

On September 26, 2016, Isaiah registered to vote in Florida. He turned 27 on April 21, 2025, Samuel turned 81 on September 3, 2025 and Carrie will turn 80 on October 6, 2025.

At 4:30 p.m. on September 10, 2025, officers with the Pembroke Pines Police Department and the Pembroke Pines Fire Rescue Department responded to a 911 call about an unconscious and unresponsive man inside of a garage at Samuel and Carrie’s residence in Pembroke Pines. The officers found Myers, who appeared to be deceased for some time.

When the officers searched the residence, they found a deceased woman in a bedroom. Her identity has yet to be released.

On September 14, 2025, an off-duty male deputy with the Miami-Dade Sheriff’s Office saw Isaiah at a park in Miami Gardens, Miami-Dade County, Florida. The latter fled the scene, jumped into a canal and climbed a tree.

The deputy was forced to fire his weapon and hit Isaiah in the lower arm. Eventually, the latter was arrested and taken to the hospital.

Isaiah was charged with two counts of first-degree murder with a firearm. His case is being investigated by the Florida Department of Law Enforcement.
