Christine Juliane “CJ” Opiaza of the Philippines competed against 67 other Miss Grand International 2024 candidates at the MGI Hall in Bangkok, Thailand on October 25, 2024. She was runner-up to Rachel Gupta of India.
On May 28, 2025, Gupta gave up the title. Opiaza took over and was officially crowned on June 3, 2025 at the same venue.
On October 18, 2025, Opiaza went back to the venue where she crowned her successor Emma Tiglao of the Philippines. It marked the first time the new Miss Grand International and the outgoing queen are from the same country.
