The Miss Universe 2025 national competition was held at the Impact Challenger Hall in Pak Kret, Nonthaburi, Thailand on November 19, 2025. Andrea Meza, Dr. Chalida Thaochalee, Faring Yuthithum, Ismael Cala, Louie Heredia, Natalie Glebova, Savinee Pakaranang and Sharon Fonseca served the judges.

Miss Universe 2025 best in national costume

A total of 120 women are competing for the Miss Universe 2025 crown. I scored their national costume performances based on the following criteria:

  1. RELEVANCE: The dress should be a costume so it should be different from a dress one would wear in a cocktail party or a formal event. It should be national, which means it also clearly represents the candidate’s country or territory.
  2. FUNCTION: While wearing the costume, the candidate should be able to walk across the stage with ease.
  3. COHESIVENESS: The candidate and her costume look like one entity.
  4. HARMONY: The costume should be moving as if it is an extension of the candidate’s body.
  5. BEAUTY: The candidate’s face should be the centerpiece and she should still look beautiful while wearing the costume.

I assigned 20 points for each criterion. Here are my Top 30 best candidates in the national costume competition and the respective scores I gave them:
