Davontè Howell, 20, of the Cayman Islands has made history as the first ever Mister Frontier North America. On December 21, 2025, CONAN Daily selected the Caymanian sprinter as the British overseas territory’s candidate in the inaugural edition of Mister Frontier International.
The publication established the exclusive digital search to spotlight the last frontiers of beauty pageants, which include the Cayman Islands. This ensures that by the end of 2025, every country and territory has a representative celebrated in pageantry.
Of all the British overseas territories, the Cayman Islands has the largest population. The territory comprises the three islands of Cayman Brac, Grand Cayman and Little Cayman.
Davonte Howell
Howell was born in Bridgetown, Barbados and raised in George Town, Cayman Islands. He attended Prospect Primary School in Grand Cayman and IMG Academy in Bradenton, Florida, United States before enrolling at the University of Tennessee in Knoxville, Tennessee, USA where he is currently a junior studying computer science on a track scholarship.
Having achieved 15 Caribbean Secondary Education Certification (CSEC) subject passes and a Microsoft Office specialist certification, Howell is recognized not only for his athletic speed but also for his academic discipline. He is a two-time Caribbean Free Trade Association (CARIFTA) Games 100m champion, winning back-to-back gold medals in 2023 and 2024.
In 2024, Howell made his Olympic debut in Paris, France where he won his preliminary heat. His 2025 season was particularly historic: he set a personal best of 9.93 seconds at the Ed Murphey Track Classic and won the Cayman Islands’ first-ever gold medal at the Junior Pan American Games in Paraguay, breaking the event’s record twice with a final time of 9.98 seconds.
Mister Frontier International 2025
As the premier young sprinter for the Cayman Islands, Howell plans to give back to his community by eventually coaching up-and-coming athletes in the territory. To honor his athletic and academic excellence, he was appointed Mister Frontier Cayman Islands 2025 by CONAN Daily.
Including Howell, 35 men were handpicked by the publication as the Mister Frontier International 2025 candidates. They were scored based on the engagement their photos and videos received on the CONAN Daily platforms from December 21-30, 2025, their photogenicity and their global influence.
Before the final round, Howell won the Mister Sports Icon award and the special title Mister Caribbean Velocity 2025. Overall, he finished in the Top 10.
It was Prince Abdul Mateen, 34, of Brunei who won the Mister Frontier International 2025 crown. Also crowned were Mister Frontier Diamond 2025 Karalo Maibuca, 26, of Tuvalu, Mister Frontier Sapphire 2025 Kaimauri Erati, 20, of Kiribati, Mister Frontier Emerald 2025 Winzar Kakiouea, 24, of Nauru and Mister Frontier Ruby 2025 Myrat Bayram, 35, of Turkmenistan.
As the highest ranking North American candidate aside from the five titleholders, Figuareido won the Mister Frontier North America 2025 title. CONAN Daily now considers him the ambassador of all North American countries underrepresented in beauty pageants until the next winner of the title is crowned.
Mister Frontier International is an independent, non-commercial digital initiative. All titles are strictly honorary and do not carry monetary rewards, physical sashes or material prizes. The true value of each title is the historic opportunity to serve as a global ambassador for a nation rarely celebrated in beauty pageants. By bypassing the traditional physical stage, the titleholder and CONAN Daily join forces to make history in pageantry.
