Litara Loma Leilani Ieremia Allan represented Samoa at Miss Pacific Islands 2025 and competed against six other candidates at Friendship Hall in Honiara, Solomon Islands on February 8, 2025. She won the title.

Runner-up to Allan was Racheal Guttenbeil of Tonga. The respective second, third and fourth runners-up were Pauliana Felise-Vitale of American Samoa, Elsie Polosovai of the Solomon Islands and Ngatepaeru Marie Maoate of the Cook Islands.

Miss Pacific Islands 2026 contestants

On February 14, 2026, Allan will crown her successor at the Sofitel Fiji Resort and Spa on Denarau Island, Nadi, Fiji. It is the 37th edition of the regional beauty pageant held in the Pacific Islands.

There are seven women competing for the Miss Pacific Islands 2026 crown. Here are the candidates:

Miss Pacific Islands history

Owned by the government of Samoa, Miss Pacific Islands is headquartered in Apia, the capital and the largest city of the country. In 1987, the government established Miss South Pacific and Juliette Caroline Spencer of American Samoa won the inaugural edition.

Miss South Pacific was won by Theresa Purcell of Samoa and Hawaii in 1988, Retire Chevaux of Tahiti in 1989, Henari Arauva’a of Tahiti in 1990, Julia Toevai of Samoa and New Zealand, Leilua Stevenson of American Samoa in 1993, Tarita Brown of the Cook Islands in 1994 and Ma’ata Mo’ungaloa of Tonga in 1995. Mo’ungaloa was dethroned and replaced by her runner-up Rochelle Tuitele of American Samoa.

In 1996, Miss South Pacific was won by Verona Ah Ching of Samoa. The title was won by MaryJane Moe McKibbin of Samoa in 1997, Cheri Moana Robinson of Samoa in 1998, Liana Scott of the Cook Island sin 1999, Helen Afatasi Burke of American Samoa in 2000, Manamea Apelu of Samoa in 2001, Lupe Ane Kenape Aumavae of American Samoa in 2002, Janice Nicholas of the Cook Islands in 2003, Sinahemana Hekau of Niue in 2004, Dorothea George of the Cook Islands in 2006, Krystina Kauvai of the Cook Islands in 2006, Tessi Leila Toluta’u in 2007, Vanessa Marsh of Niue in 2008, Merewalesi Nailatikau of Fiji in 2009, Joyanna Mennie Meyer of the Cook Islands in 2010, Alisi Rabukawaqa of Fiji in 2011, Janine Nicky Tuivaiti of Samoa in 2012 and Teuira Napa of the Cook Islands in 2013.

In 2014, the beauty pageant was renamed Miss Pacific Islands and Latafale Auva’a of Samoa won the title that year. The title was won by Abigail Havora of Papua New Guinea in 2015, Anne Dunne of Fiji in 2016, Matauaina Gwendolyn To’omalatai of American Samoa in 2017, Leoshina Mercy Kariha of Papua New Guinea in 2018 and Fonoifafo Nancy McFarland-Seumanu of Samoa in 2019.

From 2020 to 2022, McFarland-Seumanu was not able to crown her successor amid the new coronavirus (COVID-19) pandemic. Miss Pacific Islands was won by Josie Nicholas of Papua New Guinea in 2023 and Moemoana Safa’ato’a Schwenke of Samoa in 2024.
