On June 8, 2026, Vera crowned her successor Katherine Castaño of Colombia, who competed against 35 other candidates at the V Hotel Sahl Hasheesh in Hurghada. This marks the fourth time a Colombian model has won the competition and the first back-to-back victory for any country in the competition’s history.
