Trinity J. Shockley, 18, of Mooresville, Brown Township, Morgan County, Indiana, United States allegedly admires Dylann Storm Roof, 30, Nikolas Jacob Cruz, 26, and the late Randy Robert Stair. Roof was born in Columbia, South Carolina, USA, Cruz was born in Margate, Florida, USA and Stair was born in Dallas, Pennsylvania, USA.
Dylann Roof
Roof owned a website titled The Last Rhodesian, which contained photos of him posing with symbols of white supremacy and neo-Nazism. It also had a manifesto in which he claimed he developed his white supremacist views after reading about Trayvon Martin, a 17-year-old African-American boy fatally shot in Sanford, Florida on February 26, 2012.
On June 17, 2015, Roof fatally shot nine African-American people during a Bible study at Emanuel African Methodist Episcopal Church in Charleston, South Carolina. He was convicted of 33 federal charges on December 15, 2016 and was sentenced to death on January 11, 2017 for those crimes.
On March 31, 2017, Roof agreed to plead guilty to all state charges pending against him in South Carolina state court. After formally pleading guilty to state murder charges, he was sentenced to nine consecutive sentences of life without parole.
Randy Stair
In 2009, Stair started a YouTube channel called Three Pioneers Productions. He also went by Andrew Blaze.
Stair was employed at a Weis Markets supermarket in Eaton Township, Pennsylvania for seven years. On September 17, 2016, he turned 24.
On June 8, 2017, Stair fatally shot three of his coworkers at the Weis Markets supermarket before he fatally shot himself. He was the sole perpetrator of the killings.
Nikolas Cruz
Cruz attended Marjory Stoneman Douglas High School in Parkland, Florida. In 2017, he was expelled for disciplinary reasons.
On February 14, 2018, Cruz opened fire on students and staff at the school. He fatally shot 17 people and 17 others.
On March 7, 2018, a grand jury indicted Cruz on 17 counts each of first-degree murder and attempted first-degree murder. On November 2, 2022, he was sentenced to 34 consecutive life sentences without the possibility of parole.
Trinity Shockley
Born biologically female, Shockley often goes by Jamie or Dex. He identifies as a transgender man.
Shockley is a high school student in Indiana. His father Timothy Shockley allegedly did not believe in mental health treatment.
According to Trinity, he had a mental breakdown at school on February 11, 2025 due to his mother’s recent death from drug overdose. He repeatedly asked for mental health resources but was denied them by Timothy, according to authorities.
Trinity allegedly planned to kill masses of students at his school on February 14, 2025 to prove to Cruz that he was his number one fan. After a tipster reported the threat to the Federal Bureau of Investigation, the Indiana teen was arrested and charged with conspiracy to commit murder, intimidation (threat to commit terrorism) and conspiracy to commit intimidation (threat to commit terrorism).
Investigators found several pieces of evidence inside Trinity’s residence in Mooresville. In his bedroom, he had photos of Roof, Cruz and Stair on the wall.
