Miss Virginia USA 2025
Erin Houston represented Tysons, Virginia, United States at Miss Virginia USA 2025 and competed against 17 other candidates at Sheraton Pentagon City Hotel in Arlington, Virginia on February 16, 2025. She won the title.
Runner-up to Houston was Nagdeena Jerome. The respective second, third, fourth and fifth runners-up were Alexis Johnson, Kelley, Victoria Chuah and Seemran Patel.
On October 24, 2025, Houston represented Virginia at Miss USA 2025 and competed against 50 other candidates at the Grand Sierra Resort in Reno, Nevada, USA. She was unplaced.
From Miss Virginia USA to Miss Universe
Currently, Virginia has two Miss USA crowns, which were won by Wendy Dascomb in 1969 and Deborah Shelton in 1970. Representing the state, Ellen Whitehead and Patricia Southall were the first runner-up in the national beauty pageant in 1954 and 1994, respectively.
On July 19, 1969, Dascomb represented the U.S. at Miss Universe 1969 and competed against 60 other candidates at the Miami Beach Auditorium in Miami Beach, Florida, USA. She finished in the Top 15.
On July 11, 1970, Shelton represented the U.S. at Miss Universe 1970 and competed against 62 other candidates at the Miami Beach Auditorium. She was runner-up to Marisol Malaret of Puerto Rico.
