Shared brain biomarker for schizophrenia, bipolar disorder identified

A study by researchers from the University of Florence and others reveals significant neurological links between schizophrenia and bipolar disorder, indicating a psychosis spectrum. Analyzing 30 years of MRI data, they identified white matter alterations in the corpus callosum that could serve as biomarkers, enhancing diagnosis and risk assessment for these disorders.
